If you want to change Windows 10 Default font, follow the below steps carefully. Any brake line of the Registry code can damage the registry installation that may cause unexpected changes.

  1. First of all, click the Start menu button and then click the settings gear icon to open Windows 10 settings.
  2. Go to the Personalization > Fonts.
  3. Now check the available fonts and find the one you like.
  4. Note the exact name of the font you selected. Here, I chose comic font whose official name is Comic Sans MS.

  2. Copy and paste the following Registry code on the Notepad.

  1. Replace the “Enter-New-Font-Name” with the Font Name you’ve selected for the Windows 10 default font.

  2. Enter the filename “Font.reg,” From the Save as type dropdown menu, select the All Files option. Reg is an extension that represents the registry file. You can choose any file name that must end with the .reg extension.
  3. Click the “Save” button to save the file.

  2. Click the “Yes” button then “OK.”
  3. Restart the computer to reflect the changes.

Once you’ve completed all these steps, the new applied font should be visible on all the apps, desktop, file explorer, taskbar, etc.

How to restore default font in Windows 10

  3. Enter the file name “RestoreFont.reg” or whatever name you want that must end with the .reg extension.
  4. From “Save as type” dropdown menu, select All Files option.
  5. Click the Save button to save the file.
  6. Double click the the RestoreFont.reg file to run.
  7. Click the Yes button, then OK.
  8. Restart the computer to complete the task.

After you completed these steps, Windows default font should rollback to the default font family.
